Willie Weston X Koskela Outdoor Beanbag

Designed by Koskela in collaboration with Willie Weston, this indoor / outdoor beanbag features Sugarbag Dreaming by Rosie Ngwarraye Ross of Ampilatwatja, NT. Willie Weston works with Indigenous artists to create curated collections of digitally printed commercial grade furnishing fabrics. Artists are paid for each metre of fabric produced, ensuring ongoing revenue streams outside their main art practice.

Sugarbag is a name used for both the honey made by native bees and also for the sweet nectar that comes from the big yellow flowers of the ‘tarrkarr’ trees. Ross and her family often gather sugarbag out in the sandy country around Ampilatwatja.

Fabric is treated with antimicrobial, antibacterial, antifungal and water / stain repellent properties and is suitable for indoor and moderate outdoor use.
