While jute is naturally resilient, we recommend a simple maintenance routine. For day-to-day cleaning, a gentle vacuuming will suffice. In case of spills or stains, such as red wine, a 50/50 solution of water and vinegar or a white cloth dampened with club soda can effectively neutralise and remove the blemish. To ensure the rug's longevity, allow it to thoroughly dry before placing it back on the floor.
Please note that these Flat weave jute rugs are handmade with great care, consisting of countless knots. Over time and with regular use, some knots may become visible. However, they can be easily trimmed with scissors, preserving the rug's natural beauty. Our rugs are shipped folded, but any creases can be effortlessly removed by rolling and unrolling them 3-4 times.
