Koskela are proud to have contributed a range of our signature pieces to the sophisticated client, Hotels Combined. We helped create a comfortable, functional and contemporary feeling to the space by facilitating dynamic areas, which toggle between work and play.

Hotels Combined is a website which hosts millions of accommodation deals gleaned from hundreds of websites, curated to your taste through filters. It is a Sydney-based company that required an agile and contemporary space to match the nature of the business.

By incorporating a mix of Quadrant Soft modular sofas, Koskela was able to create a modular space, which encourages both collaborative and individual pockets throughout the room. By using a melody of upholstered fabrics and colours, the sofas heighten the rooms sense of vibrancy and play. Koskela has purposefully designed these sofas to be durable enough to withstand the desire to mix and match and move them around the space.

For the dining and meeting areas, Koskela provided both the Stirrup table and the Stirrup bench. Inspired by the stirrups used for horse riding, the Stirrup table is a modern balance of elegant shapes with a rustic edge through the exposed wooden panelling. In this instance, the Stirrup table has been used for inside. However, it is also suitable for outside settings.

Koskela also contributed a variety of smaller tables such as the Disc and Stilt. The Disc Table was incorporated within a booth space which helped to create productive nooks for meetings and agile working. And the Stilt medium table was placed amongst the Quadrant Soft sofas to help establish a more relaxed setting.

Two pieces of furniture which exemplify a hot-desk approach to working are our Laptop table and the Juha whiteboard. The key design feature of the Laptop table is that it can convert any lounge or seating area into a workspace. It’s optimal for flexible working and minimal in design. Additionally, the Juha Whiteboard is mounted on four lockable castors making it easy to manoeuvre. This means that it can help facilitate collaborative working, as well as function as a screening device when there are three or more.

Given the current climate, it is more important than ever for businesses to consider flexible approaches to working and spaces. Therefore, Koskela was proud to have contributed a range of furniture to this project which are modular in design.
